Nice one - stock or modified?
-
I'm going to enjoy watching you put this one together!
Model motorbikes are a bit of a rarity, so it's a treat to see one here!

It's going to be basically stock just custom paint jobby

I actually have the hippyish rider they issued for this, somtimes boxed with it, sometimes separately, but I want him for something else....

Hats off here.
After attempting two larger scale motorcycles in my modelling life, I vowed never again.
You are making it look easy
-
I have often been tempted to try a large scale bike but never been brave enough to try. Kudos to you, looking good so far.

Hi all slowing down at the moment very busy at work this time of year, but here is where I am now

Looking good: the sparkly gold frame seems oddly fitting for one of these, since they were notoriously "blingy" which suited some people's taste but not others.
I've built one large-scale bike before (a Kawasaki Zephr) and I didn't find it all that difficult, although that might have something to do with having spent so much time around 1:1 scale bikes that the components and how they fitted together seemed pretty familiar to me. The flip side was that the kind of "scale compromises" that might have satisfied a non-biker looked intolerably wrong to me, so I spent a lot of time fixing stuff that probably nobody would have noticed.

*chuckle* I can empathize, Weaver. I feel the same way about models of aircraft I've worked on and am familiar with.

Hi all, here is tonight's offering. Got some cleaning to do on the front wheel I've noticed from pic but recon it will be finished soon, just a base then, was thinking of having it sliding down the road, lots of sparks flying out from under it, with the help of an led and some fiber optics. what do you all think

Nonsense! Motorcycles NEVER fall over and slide down the road in shower of sparks! You've bought into the Safety Mafia's propag...ouch! (My clicky elbow just made my broken collar bone twinge....) :-X
Yeah that'd be different - it's looking good by the way. :)

My compliments, that looks quite real, like you shrunk a 1:1 scale one down.
-
That looks very good! I like the fact that it's got some wear and tear on it, without being overdone. "Unrealistic perfection" is one of the things that spoils the illusion with many motorbike models for me. Just about the only bikes you see looking 100% perfect are ones that spend their lives getting rolled into and out of a trailer..... ::)
The second to last pic looks like it came straight out of an early 1980s magazine article about the real thing. 8)
Well done! :)
