My 4-years old son loves Disney Planes, so I have ordered (then received) 3 model kits of them:
-
The little kid enjoyed this building project of Daddy! (he chooses of course the gentle Orange one for a start):
-
Well, this is Out of Box building but not plainly Real World... the kid enjoyed.
-
This is a model "without glue" but for children from 7 years old.
My son applied the stickers anayway, in a what-if state of mind (both versions together):
-
His first build ?
Or his first whiff build ?
Neither ?
-
Neither, sorry...
It was for children aged 7 or more and he is just 4. He helped me but I do not want to give him a (dangerous) cutter to remove parts from the sprues, for instance.
The what-if part is just decoration, mixing 2 versions (and of course, this is a Real plane according to him while this is just a cartoon)...
-
Markings not OOB. Its a whiff :)
-
congratulations!
The kits look cute : maybe a good basis for whiffing?
-
Thanks!
Well, maybe I may whif them later, when the kid will not play with them anymore, but he urged me to build them immediately, so there was no time for putty, sanding, repeat, paint, dry...
Today, the building of the 2 last ones was mandatory...
-
With immediate playing
-
I succeeded anyway to shot the profile for which I have bought one
-
A group picture up to then
-
Then the last one
-
Built in a few minutes, but still not quick enough...
-
Final picture. And for Christmas, my son ordered (to Santa Claus) the F-15 Eagle 1/100 of the same batch...
-
This how it all begins, and we all were there once! Keep it fun and he'll be bugging you all the time for another one.
As I recall, the very first kit I built was a farm tractor ordered from a cereal box. my Dad told me to wait but I glued it together with white school glue. Of course it fell apart. Live and learn to listen to Dad.
-
Funny memory. Thanks kerick.
