Title: Boeing 777-2000
Post by: Tophe on November 02, 2013, 09:52:14 AM
Last summer, my American brother in law offered me a Boeing 777 model (10 parts 'kit' to build without glue). Alas, after coming back to France, all was broken, and mainly the engines were not solid enough, I needed to glue them back on.
Now this is the B777-2000 with tail turbofans above low tailplanes, something never seen anywhere else (I think)...

I really like this one, Tophe! The engines really look good on the tail and give your airliner a much more powerful look than the standard 777.

Well done, mon ami!

Do you mean "only someone over-indulgent like PR19_Kit could like"? :( ;)

No, something as odd-ball like this is what I meant

Thanks!
Well, as all was already painted, ready to build, this had been a 10-second building, and the 'repair' took also 2 seconds. Compared to year of work on many great models, I understand I belong to the childish sub-category...

I don't think so Tophe,

But as you say some take a year or so, and others are so simple it's amazing no one else thinks of it. Doesn't make it any less of a neat build.

Very nice Tophe! How about some assymetrical luggage pods on the former wing pylons?

Thanks fot this good idea!
Alas there is no room at all, the model is "displayed" with a negative 'ground clearance':

Thanks a lot Kit!

For the pylon use: if I had room (and spare parts) I could install extra cabins for extra passengers:

lol I'm not sure I'd have the guts to step into what quite clearly is a jettisonable container   :o
I remember Pitch Black, when the ship got into a spot of bother the first thing to go were the cargo/people pods ...........

I understand you, while... in a 1/200 desk model, no 'human' passager will ever be on board ;)
