Title: Refueling diorama

Inflight diorama I would like to make.  Don't foresee ever doing it.  Do think of it from time to time.
B-36 tanker trailing three refueling drogues.  Three B-10 with probes being refueled.

Yes.  Glencoe 1/72 B-10B.
Have eight kits.

Certainly is tongue-in-cheek diorama.
Gunna backup here for the big picture (remember that show?):
Redoing back yard and one element is 10.5x20.5ft shed 100% for models.  Interior a full 10x20.
Shed is for building diorama land/hills areas for airfield, roads, bridges, gun/missile positions, and water/shore areas for gunboats, PT boats, supply boats, seaplanes.  Much like HO train dioramas.
Also, under diorama will be storage space for model kits.
Now come to think "hey", inflight aircraft can be hung from above.  Build gear-up (unless they have spats) models to be inflight.  Will have room to do B-36/B-10 refueling.
Regarding speed --- After checking performance, think they really can refuel at 160-190mph.
As for spats & refueling (take note Brian): B-10 refueling P-26.

Good idea .... Nuremberg airport, Germany circa 1955-1968.  The umbrellas wobbled "a bit" when the aircraft turned around to taxi off - when the prop aircraft were replaced with jets, the restaurant was closed.

Time to spare?  Go by air.  As a kid I remember flying from Chicago to Green Bay in the 50s.  Scheduled stop in Milwaukee and Neenah.    One time there was rain and we were delayed in Neenah for something like four hours.  My poor mother stuck with a squalling overtired 5 year old.  About 20 years ago I did an excursion flight in a Ford Trimotor.  Nothing like having an unmuffled uncowled 350 hp engine 15 feet from you.   It's amazing air travel ever caught on.

The nicotine in those planes was probably cutting into their range and payload capacity, not to mention the health of passengers and crew.
