Title: 617 Sqn 70th Anniversary `what if` Scheme
Post by: tc2324 on May 14, 2013, 03:01:19 PM
The `what if` in this case being..., what if 617 had asked me to design this years special anniversary aircraft scheme for them.

A couple without the dio base.

It`s a 1/48 Revell kit, base is from the old 1/72 airfix dambusters dio kit. Sorry for the piccie quality, it`s just a point and shoot.

I was looking at that over on the 'What-If' forum, you've definitely done a masterful job on that  (my Dad's old squadron too although he wasn't there for the dam raids)

Most excellent, tc! If the RAF had any sense of style, they'd hire you in a heartbeat!

Impressive, very impressive.

It reminds me of the farewell F111 scheme Coops did back in 2011

Thank you all for your comments and I`m glad this scheme has gone down well with you all. :)

Unsurprisingly I`m still awaiting a phone call from AOC RAF to discuss my future commissioning for the 75th anniversary......  ;D

Very attractive! Which kit did the dam base come with, the Airfix or the Revell? I've never seen one
before and it offers a host of possibilities...

Keep an eye out for telegrams, too. Word is some in the RAF are a bit old school.

I'd love to see what you can do some W.W. I lozenge! Outstanding!
