i have been on a ww1 kick for a while now, only ran into a problem at the end. painted my planes , gloss coated them , put the decals on , then went and put the flat on...... WHAT THE #$%^$ IS THAT??? paint wrinkled on one, super major silver on the other and just utter dis appointment all around.
ihave used krylon paints for primer, gloss clear , n flat clear for evvver. only after the great mishap did inotice that the gloss clear was a acrylic and the flat i painted over it was a laquer( yeah my spelling sucks).
in little light blue letters above clear gloss.acrylic.
dangit!!
after several tries i have mae the foker dr1 presentable(although a little shiny) and the sopwith triplane is ok.
the sopwith camel on the other hand is a total loss as far as decal n paint go. i will be looking for a roden camel now because of all the decal s they come with.
her is what i have now.

Those are some very well done W.W. I models, arkon!
Getting all three wings aligned on the Sopwith Triplane is a testament to you skill!

Nice job!! Sorry about the spray paint issues :-\ Brands vary so much, I think it pays to ask around and experiment. I know a lot of people recommend Future, but I tend to rattle bomb with gloss, and then flatten with tester dull coat. I have used tester lacquer gloss and it was very nice, certainly shiny! but I didn't try to paint over it with any other coats.
Its tricky, I am still trying to work out the bugs myself.

Pegasus pfalz dIII. came out om forgot to trim the white off of the lower crosses and all the decals look a little big but all n all I am very pleased with the model, oh and I screwed up and put on the upper wing before I did the guns, could not reach in far enough to place them properly.
