Another Whiff from my archives that some of you are likely familiar with:

In fact, it was probably my first Whiff ever. Did it back in 2001 or 2002 as memory serves.
The Academy 1/72 Komet kit with a mix of kit stenciling and Italian insignias taken from Airfix's 1/72 Fiat G.50 kit.
Sorry for the grainy pics, but they are scans of 35mm prints.

Beautifully done.

Very convincing!!

Nice idea ! And who knew the C in C-stoff stood for Chianti ! :leaking:

Excellent paint work and weathering, upnorth! It's a treat to see one of your models.

With the German and Japanese 163s, this completes a great collection... :)

Thanks guys
-
Just perfect

I was reading just recently how there were indeed a bunch of Italian pilots training to fly the Komet at the end of the war.
-
Great scheme and markings. :)
I turn a bit green looking at the weathering.
-
Very nice. It looks great in those markings.

Thanks for bringing this back to the front page! :)
I just wish this model wasn't sitting packed in a box back in Canada, I'd love to take new photos of it with my current camera.

Beautiful idea, probably FIAT took the licence from Messerschmitt for a Chianti supply!
