How about an uninhabited version - may happen in the life of the T50:

Oh I don't know. It looks to me like the Russians might have used a subtle bit of this:

Those markings usually do nothing for me, but on the T50 they look great! :-*
-
Just thinking of Ace Combat type schemes....
-
That will just buff out…NOT!!!

Does anyone know what happens there?
-
"A lick o' paint here, a lick o' paint there"
-
"Don't worry, it'll buff out..."
Was it just a ground fire or did someone come in EXTRA low in the fog?
-
From pictures I've seen elsewhere, it was an in-flight problem and the aircraft RTB'd with a fire there, and made it down safely. Definitely a good test pilot there.
-
Its still better then the F-35 though!

;D
Well the "catch fire in flight" test is one that the F-35 has yet to do - Damn those Russians for getting there first! ;D
-
Got to love T&E, that's what my Masters was going to be in.

Well, T-50 will gladly and easily help the F-35 to test in-flight fire >:D

True, I'm sure the US will happily fit the F-35 with radar reflectors, IR sources and strobe lights to help them do just that ;)

Why ? what flight information do you have to say that ?

(Relax, man... I'm just doing an evil joke.)
With something like these... >:D

F-35 hating, SU35 loving fanbois get so upset when I mention the T50, it sort of totally destroys their argument that the various Su27 developments are so awesome no one will ever need anything better in that Sukhoi themselves are already developing something newer and better.
-
Swedish splinter....I like that one.

You mean the dudes who edited Wikipedia article for Pugachev's Cobra to read as follows?
Sukhoi PAK FA variant SUKHOI T-50/PAK FA SUPER MANEUVERABILITY [6]
:P
-
Nah it was a RAAF post of Facebook, a fanboi started ranting about how much better the SU35 was than the F-35 so I listed all the things the F-35 can do that an SU35 can't and asked him if the SU-35 could do any of them and why, if the Flanker was an Uber Fighter Supreme, the T-50 was being developed. This upset some of the other arm chair experts who started ranting about LM marketing and listing a series of sights they thought I should read before "attacking the facts". I read the sights and responded that they should probably reread the same references themselves as they didn't actually contradict anything I had written, not a peep from them since, apparently calm rational responses are beyond their ability to debate.

Interesting view:

Just an interesting photo:

Lots of deflecting surfaces there. I wonder how they are coordinated?

Carefully... ;D

I'm wondering what that "veining" on the starboard vertical stab is ???

Not sure, though you can also see it here on the inside face:
It only appears on some photos so maybe it is just some externally mounted test sensors?
-
Or it could be a weak point in the design that's prone to stress fatigue, so it's reinforced.
-
I saw a reference recently that this aircraft has an official designation of Su-57. That should confuse the daylights out of the intelligence types trying to figure out what came in between the Su-37 and this number.

Just in from Twitter. 5th generation Sukhoi Su-57 "Felon" Crashes During Testing, Pilot Reported Safe

I was reading about that on MSN too. The article there said it was the first crash of the type, pretty sure I read over on SPF that one (maybe two) had crashed previously. I'll have to check -- And also it said, only 10 pre-production aircraft have been built so far ----- ???
