Title: Inability to access forum over the last couple of days
Post by: GTX_Admin on September 07, 2025, 05:11:56 PM
Folks,

My apologies to anyone suffering from an inability to access the site over the last couple of days.  Unfortunately the hosting company, GoDaddy, did something in the background which screwed things up.  After a lot of back and forth I have managed to get it working again.  I had to use a backup from a couple of days ago to restore things so I apologise if anyone's posts are missing.

Not the way I wanted to spend a weekend.

Kind regards,

Greg

Thanks for sorting it out Greg.  I did wonder what was happening and guessed you’d had to resort to a previous back up as my latest post is missing.  Will repost soonest.

Me too ... yay!  :D :D

Good on ya, Greg! Still, weekends expended sorting out GoDaddy's snafus should be billable  :icon_punal:

Sorry you had to blow a weekend over this.
I thought computers were going to make everything wonderful?

That usually holds true until someone decides to make a change that then cascades down and ruins everything all with good intentions.  If it ain't broke, don't fuck with it.  Someone at GoDaddy did just that in order to ruin Greg's weekend.

To err is human.

To really fuck things up takes automation.

This is GoDaddy we're talking about, so it's an unholy synergy of both.
