I just saw that one of the outfits, might have been Atlantis, had recently re-issued the '58 Edsel...

Something sci-fi in the 3050’s.
Or a long time ago in a galaxy 50 million light years away.

It was a "meh" build experience, but sort of fits:

Many countries used WWII time equipment, like fighter aircraft, well into the 50s.
Sweden could have had late model Bf 109... (Sweden was building their own DB 605 engines)

Hi,
Interestingly enough I just picked up an AMT 1967 1957 Thunderbird that I hope to convert into a 2050 (or maybe 2150) era 1950s inspired hover car  ;)

Anything like the later Fallout games series' cars? ???

Indeed - here is a Ilmavoimat one in 1953 still in service:

A lot of Frank Tinsley drawings here (https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/the-official-dieselpunk-thread.317576/page-11).

The Disney "Magic Highway USA" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7icGIHPOviQ) from 1958 has some 50's ideas of the future. The fun part starts at 39:45 (https://youtu.be/7icGIHPOviQ?t=2385)

Of course in the 1950s everything was going to be nuclear powered too. So lots of lead shielding on that copter!

Does that coptercop pilot have a beacon light on top of his helmet?

I believe you are correct! I was too distracted by the bloody smears on the highway surface to notice.

Back in the days when you were allowed to illustrate that actions had consequences. ::)

I am coming in a bit late to start, but I need a ruling. This Piasecki project was started quite some time ago, but has veered left from the original Battletech inspired idea to something that might work in this GB. Currently, the fuselage? Chassis? hull? has been glued together with a couple of the guide vanes in place and a reversed fin. May I proceed with the Piasecki "Air Tank"?
