Some more of the PT6 variant - I really like this one:

All hail the God of Frustration!!!

You can't outrun Death forever.
But you can make the Bastard work for it.

What about an up-engined US version for use in low intensity COIN ops such as Afghanistan?

If it doesn't have them, it really needs IRS exhausts such as are fitting to MC-12's et al.

Whiff Canadian PT6A powered version:

I think I'm in love!!

I wonder if the A Model 1/72 King Air wings would work. Is there a 72nd Pucara?

Thanks guys. I did that before I knew of the RW version. Looking at the whif afresh, the nacelles appear underscale and the exhaust pipes positively puny  :-[

Why is the aircrew on the right only wearing one boot?

Either that or he just did a "shoey" (note glass of wine in hand).

More on the jet version:

Astafan engines or some other small turbofan?  ISTR it used Astafans but that could be a glitch in the memory banks.

Memory is still good my friend.  Turbomeca Astafan IIs were proposed.  These were turbofan engine developed from the Turbomeca Astazou which in turn was the engine already used by the Pucara.
