LF: British WW2 8" gun barrels 1/350

Hi guys! :)

I'm looking for (preferrably) metal WW2-era RN 8" gun barrels to modify my 1945 Prinz Eugen into a post-WW2 RAN warship.

Just a lead as to where I might find some would be good, as I've had no luck to date.

Guy,

If you are having problems finding a suitable barrel/gun tube in 1:350th scale then maybe your luck will improve by searching for a 16.0"/406mm barrel/gun tube in 1:700th scale?  Not always the best solution but certainly worth considering given the situation.

***update***

Master Model from Poland offers a set of 8.0"/203mm gun barrels in 1:350th scale that might work for your project.

Thanks, everyone! :icon_alabanza:

I may have to either try to modify the kit barrels or buy some US 8" barrels & try to modify them to look a bit more like the RN 8" rifles.

Thinking outside of the box for a moment.  Since the item you are seeking is a 1:350th scale 8.0"/203mm gun barrel, what about a bit of scale-o-rama just to make it interesting?  Check out the features on a 1:700th scale 16.0"/406mm gun barrel?  This might get you a gun barrel shape that would work with slightly different features for a gun barrel that would be the same size as your target 8.0"/203mm gun barrel.

Neat idea, Jeff! :)

Now, do they have British 16" barrels? ???

Off to look! ;)
