The armed H-2 that was considered by the U.S. Army to be named Tomahawk sounds like something that could be improved upon with some kit bashing.  Staying with that idea how about a USAF version in that multi color spotted camouflage that was used in SEA?  Armed with the M134 7.62NATO Gatling Guns and rocket pods. 

The Kaman SEALITE proposal for the light weight Seasprite was to be equipped with skids instead of wheels. I suppose a kit bash with a UH-1 would give you the skids for such a project.

I always wanted to play around with kitbashing an AH-2, using a Fujimi SeaSprite and a 1/72 Cobra, but I've never been able to find the one, so the project has been sitting way back on the burner for years now.

Navy HH-2 rescue birds were cleared for the TAT-102 nose turret with the Minigun, but I read somewhere that they were often removed to save weight.

There's also the HH-2C CSAR aircraft that could make for some interesting ideas/scenarios.  The Wikipedia page says it had a minigun nose turret.

Kit bash the MiniCraft HH-60 or MH-60 kit for the radar and weapons.  Go all the way and add on the ESS with fuel tanks for something really different :)

How about converting a Seasprite to a "traditional" Kaman egg-beater rotor layout?

I have done an armed H-2 seasprite for the Honduras army, I will look for the pictures of it. It was quite a simple conversion too.

The utility version could carry 10 passengers so how about a UH or assault version for the USMC and a RN Commando and attack versions, pre Lynx operated en-masse from the Implacable and Unicorn class Commando carriers.

I picked up a Fujimi Seasprite for the MAD bomb to use on my SV-22 project.  I can see I have some options to play with.  I'm real tempted to base it off a "Super Seasprite" since that looks to use the same intakes as the Black Hawk and Naval Hawk (intakes I'm very familiar with from my time contracting at Sikorsky).  I'll have to look for a suitable donor aircraft.

I have a question:

I have heard of the story of the YSH-2E as a Mk II LAMPS.  It was cancelled in favour of an "upgraded Mk I" in the form of the SH-2F.  The SH-2F gave way to the SH-2G, but the SH-2G doesn't seem to be part of LAMPS.

My question is: how big of a leap in technology is the SH-2G from the Mk I LAMPS?  Outside of using the same family of engines with the SH-60, is the SH-2G a more-capable platform than the Mk II LAMPS?

Ive read somewhere, that RCN seriously looked at a early ASW derivative of the Kaman H-2 Seasprite for its navy, even before the USN developed it's 'SH-2A'. But it was cancelled on cost grounds.....its mission being filled by the larger and heavier Sikorsky SH-3 SeaKing.

Does anyone know more about this Kaman/Canadian program?
