When they cancelled the TSR.2...
« on: March 15, 2016, 08:23:37 PM »
When they cancelled the TSR.2, Hawker-Siddely aviation sold the RAF their P.1125 strike fighter.  Equipped with twin Avon engines and able to carry conventional and nuclear bombs, as well as self-defence Sidewinders, the P.1125 was put hurriedly into service to make up the short-fall created by the cancellation of the TSR.2.

The model is a combination of a 1/72 Mirage IV fuselage with 1/48 Hunter wings and tail.

A most excellent scale-o-rama.   :)

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Different - wouldn't want to try doing a low level run in it with that wing though....

Very nice! To my eye, though, she looks more like the P.1129 than the P.1125 ...
