Hello,
I'd like to start my second tank model in my modelling history. I want to make a miniature of Sherman from "Tank" movie from 1984 with James Garner. I've planned to get Asuka Sherman but guys on Britmodeller persuaded me not to. I've started with early M4 and converted it with spare M4A3 parts which I get from my friend.
"Tank" was one of the first movies that my parents allowed me to watch from start to begining (next was "Top Gun" and "Final Countdown"). I have a big sentiment to this particular movie. I'm going to make a small dio depicting Sherman on road, based on this shoot from movie:

So after few surgeries early M4 looks like below. What I've done already:
-new wire handles
-horn above gun
-M4A3 engine deck and rear engine doors
-correct cast surface on divverential cover
-additional sockets for fuel cans on turret
-new rear plate with corrected angle of it
-torsion bar/counterbalanced hinges for engine doors
-late commander cuppola with single hatch

A very good start for sure. Clean looking paint job.

I tried to scratchbuild jerrycan brackets. It's best I can do now. Buckles left to be done later...

Hello,
Well, that's all. I have no place for even a small vignette so that's it:) Painted as usual with Mr.Hobby range. Weathered with Mig and Ammo products.

Perhaps a bit glossy for my tastes but Really nicely done, Artoor! 8)

Great looking model Artoor! Looks good without the usual dirt and mud that many armor modelers strive to depict on their models. Actually looks "Parade Ready" and just waiting for the parade marshall to pass instructions to start engine and prepare to move out.

Must concur with Mr Fontaine, that's a real beauty and reminds me of tanks I've seen in documentaries training prior to D-Day.
Great stuff! Love the "clean" look!
