This bash I call Zip Jet. Bought the RS Models Blohm & Voss Ae 607. Was gunna stash it away for later but the wierd poor vision cockpit location bugged me, so decided to stop bomber build and fix to give pilot a chance to what is going on around the jet. Drafted it into USA service.
Loaded pictures into Photobucket but could not see how to get them to this posting. So click on them for larger picture. Get it to work sometime.
Below is briefing page on Zip Jet.
Zip Jet
Scale: 1/72
Missions: Fighter
Description: Developed as a local area fighter with approximately 500 mile range on internal fuel. Algric fiber composite coating (blue metallic appearance) combined with aircraft shape and small size gives it a semi-stealth radar rating. Low wing loading and front canards make it a tenacious dogfighter. Combination of small size, shape, and color make it difficult to acquire/reacquire visually from in the air and from the ground. Seen here circa 1980 with AIM-9J Sidewinder missiles. For transport, wing tips can be removed at point where they are canted down. Resultant span is 19ft 6in.
Dimensions: Length 24ft 9in. Wingspan 26ft 3in.
