Its a TF-84Q Thunderstreak. Ex-Armee de l'air Syrian half-way house between a F-84F & a F-105.

Pretty interesting!  I like the fuselage color and the weathering you did.  Did you mean for the other roundel to be peeking through underneath the canopy?  Makes me want to create a mental story of a plane that was perhaps either bought as surplus, captured and test flown by the new owners, etc.

Thanks. Yes its an ex-French aircraft gifted to Syria. I wanted it to already have a story to tell before it got to its current user. I don't know why but I just can't do a factory-fresh bird.

The pilot of this Harridan pours the coals on his Olympus 305 and turns south-west having completed his Red Hood SLAR reconnaissance run of the northern shores of the Black Sea.

Really unusual!  I think I see what looks like the tail of an XB-51 there.  Is that its intake underneath the cockpit?  It would certainly have a wickedly tall nose gear, but it almost doesn't seem as though there'd be room for it if one accounts for a cockpit tub and any radar and avionics up in the nose.

It all started as a single Oly engined scaled-down Victor as a Buccaneer alternative turned British U-2 type.

It is indeed the engine intake under the cockpit. I thought the Victor's bulged throat (for lack of a better term) would make a great intake.

It is pure Victor from the intake lip aft. The cockpit section is a MiG-27 one (as I have one spare) with underside cut down slightly to un-mask the intake. The cockpit is scaled correctly for a 1/72 MiG-27 cockpit to be married to a 1/144 Victor fuselage, plus or minus a pixel. The nose is based on that of an Atlas Cheetah D but is not scaled. The wings are Victor minus the intake sections moved forward to the original wing root.

As for landing gear, I think bicycle would be the best way to go with outriggers deployed from the Whitcomb bodies/Küchemann carrots on the trailing edge.

Its really meant to be an evolved kludge as only the Brits can do.

New planes are pretty, but there's always a story behind the ones with some weathering and grunge to them indicating hard use.  Very nice work!

Ah, I see...  You'll have to forgive me for seeing the XB-51 tail and not the Victor (I'm a Yank, after all....  Ha!)  You know, I'm almost embarrassed to say I hadn't even thought about a bicycle/outrigger gear layout but you're right, that would look at home there.  Looks like it would still have to be pretty tall though in consideration of the overall size of the intake (not a criticism, just an observation).  As "evolved kluges" go, it's a pretty interesting one.

Lavochkin's attempt at fielding an AL-5 engined all-weather interceptor using the La-200's tried & tested wings & empennage rather than the La-190's more (too?) exotic aerodynamics. The La-204:
