Are you going to whiff it or go OOB?
Looks interesting either way.

Nice kit choice.  One that can go OOB yet readily kitbashable civil or military and already 1/72.

Good luck with your project!  That hull is not small, almost the same dimensions as the Italeri 1:35th scale ELCO 80.0' hull and quite impressive.  The little 'daughter' boat at the stern is also available as a separate kit from Revell Germany.

Hi all just thought I would show you what comes with this kit, got to say it's a lot of plastic for the money.

No flash and really nicely detailed, looks like a great kit.

You have the second release of that kit.  First release included a different 'daughter' boat for the docking well at the stern.  The second release has the rigid inflatable hull boat which I wish was available as a separate kit. :(

Hi all made the crane for lifting the small rescue boat, I must say I'm very pleased with how this bit turned out (shame about the rest of it)

Green decks look extra real.  Like how that fine winch and deck fittings add to realness.

Ok well I've finally decided on the base for this, first I thought I would have a surfer washed out to sea but I thought this is a German equivalent of the RNLI then I thought are there any surfing beaches in Germany and anyway they wouldn't send a huge ship like this out for a surfer would They? Then I thought what about someone on a lilo but cancelled that idea for the same reasons what about a sinking ship no the dio would have to be huge. Then the kernel of an idea came to me a ww2 air show and maybe there's a mid air collision or engine trouble and the pilot had to ditch but for some reason the canopy wouldn't open so he couldn't bail out. Thunderbirds to the rescue (FAB Virgil thunderbirds are go) sorry got carried away there.
I'm going to use the fw190 from the warspite dio as the ditched plane, here's a mock up of how it may look

Added some more railings and some lights to the tower

Maybe now I've got the base worked out I may enjoy the build a bit more.
