Does anyone know if there is a kit available (maybe resin) of the British Aerospace EAP in 1/48?

I just checked Scalemates and it only lists two in 1/72. I will ask the FB Vacuform/Resin Kit Builders group.

Thanks mate. Yeah, I could only find 1/72 references as well.
-
The FB Vacuform/Resin Kit Builders group came up with no known 1/48 kits.

Wrong Answer! ::)

Considering it was made from bits and pieces of other aeroplanes you could bash one.
-
Not sure about that, only thing I can find that was from another aircraft was the tail fin
-
There was a lot of Tornado in it, engines and I believe under carriage, then there's the Eurofighter DNA as well, but its been a while since I read what and where so I could be mistaken.
-
Yeah, I know what you're saying but from what I've read, the only actual bit from another aircraft is the fin (much modified too though). Engines did come from the Tornado but again from what I've read, for the airframe, the left side was built differently to the right side with different materials used.
The Typhoon was the outcome of the EAP though, not the other way around
-
Yes Typhoon came from EAP, hence shared DNA. I believe the fuselage is very similar to Tiffy while EAP had a cranked delta instead of a straight delta wing and a rectangular intake instead of one with curved profile. Not easy but maybe the only way to get a 1/48 EAP would be to bash a Tiffy and a Tornado.
I recall reading a serries of pieces by a UK test pilot who loved the EAP and thought that the UK should have productionised it for the RAF and export as an interim to the Eurofighter. Also I prefer the original twin fin arrangement on the ACA mockup.

I've got the 1/72 Pegasus kit of the EAP and I've a couple of 1/72 Typhoons too (Airfix and Revell). The EAP is quite a bit smaller than the Typhoon when I compared the two kits
-
One can see a rough, not-to-scale comparison here:

Note that the Typhoon is bigger than the EAP.

EAP Mk.2, then.

My plan would be to do an operational one somewhat akin to these:
