This will be my attempt at building a hovertank.
The black sides and the white front are parts from computer printers cut down to approximately 1/35th scale size. The other white parts are plastic sheet. The louver on top is from a car part.

I have no idea what to use as a turret. I might go Swedish "S" tank and use no turret at all. Or I could use the spare M48 turret, M51 Isherman turret or the old CD player I have in the drawer. All suggestions are welcome.

Innovation abounds at BTS, including Kerick Industries.

Just plop 'em all on & see which takes your fancy!

I love it when people use everyday objects to do a build.

Me too! That's some impressive imaginative thinking!

very cool. Looking good so far

Too cold for working tomorrow so I might get in some work on this puppy. Wind chill is going to be down around -20F.

got me interested

Great start, will be watching very close, am a big fan of hover vehicles. :P

Making a little progress on the hovertank. I've closed in the front glasis plate area.

I tried the CD player as a turret but it was too big. I found this old base for a microphone in the drawer of stuff. It should make a good turret.

I glued on some plastic sheet to cover holes I don't want showing. I'm calling it applique armor.

Just need to greeble the flat surfaces a bit for interest. That turret is the bat's knackers! 8)

Fine example of repurposing-recycling. Commendable kitbashing and environmental effort.

Thanks every one!
I have drawers full of junk that supply me with flashes of inspiration.

Looking good

Interesting concept and great work with the plastic card. Looking forward to the end product.

I'm going with "vectorable anti gravity drive". A system able to climb hills and drive straight in a crosswind.
That's my story and I'm stickn' to it!
I managed to get a little work done on the turret. Too cold around here to do much else. I'll have pic tomorrow.

Just a couple of progress shots.
Basic turret is just about done, time to accessorize!

Go for it! ;)
That turret is the dog’s giblets. :-* 8)

...That turret is the dog’s giblets...
Agreed! Between that microphone base turret and the printer hull, this is a brilliant piece of objet trouvé mash-up

That's the strangest phrase I've ever heard!!!!!
Thanks for the compliments!

Added a few bits to the turret.

I also placed some Perfect Plastic Putty around the turret mounting plate to blend it in. Sanding and probably more putty await.
I need to know what I could do with the back side of this beast. Any ideas?

Is fascinating mix and results. Cool 8)
Good eye for the right correct touches. Happy hovering. Keep posting.

Thanks!
Not much to show but PSR right now.

For the back of the vehicle you'll need some form of method of projecting the vehicle forward/reverse/sideways. I'd recommend some form of jet exhaust as the simplest method. However, that could lead to problems of property damage and fire. Better make it a cold exhaust, rather than a hot one, with air being forced out. That would also need some form of air inlet as well, on the sides. Add some form of infantry telephone box (although getting to it and using it might be interesting). Add some tools as well. Personally, I prefer them to be in boxes, rather than clamped in the open - it prevents theft and protects them from being snagged by bushes/trees.

I put some paint on this bugger without any disasters!

Fine color for hovertank. You be better with paints than I. No runs, no drips, no errors

Looking gooder!

Looks like it just hovered off the showroom floor...does it still have the new hovertank smell?
Great work, really inspiring!

The Model Master Sand Beige dried gloss so that will make decals go on much easier.
