Ok folks, time to vote on which Group Builds you would like to see in 2018. I have put up all the suggestions proposed in the last 12mths. See here (http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=49.285) for more info on each - starting at about Reply#290. Also feel free to ask.
Poll will run for 3wks. Each member gets 5 votes and you are able to change your mind if you so desire (e.g. to help whittle down the results if you se your preferred is not going anywhere). Campaigning to get your favourites picked is allowed.
Plan is to have the first new GB start no later than 1st Feb 2018.

Just curious if the two clear you bench GBs will have preferential voting?
-
I can merge them as one if people wish.
-
Just thinking of what would happen if neither got up but their combined vote would have got one of them up.

I will decide (in conjunction with the other moderators) at the time should that be the case.

Cool

Need more votes people!!! >:(

Sorry, just nothing there that turns my crank

So... I have removed my vote for 3, and I voted for 5, all right...
-
Allies '46 looking like a sure thing.
Browsed stash and came up with a scale-o-rama plan.
Kits are set aside.
Happens to also qualify for Tri GB (kits of three model companies 1/3) which accommodates land, sea, air, space.....

Last week folks and only 25 people have voted. Have your say now!
-
Starting to think I need to press gang some voters here... >:(

How about we put the non voters in "The Cooler" for 30 days which is my back deck @ -16 degrees C.
-
OK, I voted, but like I said above, nothing turns my crank ----
-
cool can I vote again?
-
I've voted.
-
Voted last week, cool to see Allies 46 suggestion is doing well!
-
I voted too!
Allies 46 could be interesting and I definitely have some candidates for repair and refurbish.
-
It is possible that Anachronistic GB or Dassault GB or MiG GB (all ideas were mine) are chosen. In that case I will be volunteer to moderate one or two of them. ;) 8)

And I voted for all three ;D Great suggestions

Thanks ! ;)

After years or Luft'46 promo by model companies, books, etc.... Getting a top vote response for Allies '46 is most interesting !
Am sure BTS bunch will do this good.
-
Oh dear...at this stage we may need to do a second round of voting to sort out the top 5 or so...
If anyone who has posted a vote that is not going to win (like I have multiple times), and they want to adjust their vote now is the time to do it. You can change your votes in the poll.

That's the way The Airfix Tribute Forum run their GB polls Greg, IIRC it runs to three separate polls to whittle it down. It sorts out the chaff so to speak.

We'll see where we end up. I might simply choose what I want too... >:D
-
It might be best to consider combining several of the proposed group builds in to one as they all follow a similar theme:
Clear your workbench V1 and V2 GB might benefit everyone if these two group builds were combined with the Repair and Refurbish GB and the Ooopsies GB.
This would alleviate some of the current 'blockage' we are experiencing in the selection process.
I also revisited my own selections in the current list and changed several of my votes as suggested.
-
I've made a slight adjustment to my votes.
I did notice that the 'Boring GB' hasn't aroused much interest. :D

I vote for that.....

Placed an indication of desires.

Ok folks,
Based upon the vote (and not my own nefarious actions as some might suspect ::)), the results are as follows:
Allies '46 GB
Second Korean War GB
Repair and refurbish GB
Anachronistic GB
MiG GB
Everyday objects GB
Clear your workbench GB v1. Procrastinators unite. Tomorrow.
Given there was also a second "Clear your workbench" option which also garnered votes, I am prepared to merge both it and the one above to give a combined Clear your workbench GB a chance.
This would then result in something such as the following calendar:
Allies '46 GB: 1 Feb - 31 Mar
Second Korean War GB: 1 Apr - 31 May
Repair and refurbish GB: 1 Jun - 31 Jul
Anachronistic GB: 1 Aug - 30 Sep
MiG GB: 1 Oct - 30 Nov
Everyday objects GB: 1 Dec - 31 Jan 2018
Clear your workbench GB - propose this be run concurrently with above, possible over an extended period throughout the year. This allows people to enter anything they finally get finished this year (either carrying over already from your bench of doom or from failed GB builds etc).
If anyone has an issue with this, please let me know either by posting here or by PM'ing me.
-
I'm in favor of this proposal! (for what that's worth)
-
Works for me.

This looks like a fine plan of action. I may even get to participate now that LemonJello Heavy Industries has relocated to NoVA.
-
Oh Ah,,, sensed a disturbance in the Force as if a rush for Allies '46 related kits and effort to clear building space !
-
I love it when a plan comes together!
-
I like your thinking here, Mr GTX!
Will look forward to playing along in quite a few of these GBs.

I will be needing Moderators to volunteer (or be volunteered...)
-
Feeling guilty 8) of Anachronistic, MiG, and 2nd Korean War GB; I really would like to moderate and participate in first one (anachronistic) and can accept this high responsability in the other two. :D ;)

Feel free to let me know if you're in a pinch and I'll "volunteer".
