Little Eagle
« on: December 22, 2014, 10:31:49 PM »
This is the result of my failed attempt to open the cages on the 1999 Eagle. I salvaged the parts and came up with this. I imagine it to be a little utility ship like with short range. I also thought that with all the eagles that crash on the show some of them would probably cannibalized into something like this. For left over parts its looking pretty cool.

That's a good idea!

If the show had gone on, it would have been interesting to see the Eagles get more and more cannibalised/bodged up.

And here is the bottom. I sanded down the guides for the thruster bells, drilled a couple holes and used two of the landing pads. Coming along nicely.

April Welles of Cheetah Productions sent me a pack of her detail parts. They fit perfectly into the engine bells.

Cute idea, bluesman, to "recycle" a misfortuned Eagle to this "Beagle" (thx mrvr6 for the creation of this term).
Just like the motto: if life gives lemons to you take some water and some sugar and made limonade out of.
