Kits slaughtered  :smiley: are the Tamiya M-4 (105) and Academy M-113 ACAV kits

Well, you won't be needing the gun travel lock or the bow .30cal, so I can see them disappearing soon.

My plan is going for a low profile APC based on the Sherman tank.

I had initially planned to fit a M-113 ramp for ingress / egress.

Initial concern was that the Sherman height wasn't adequate for an APC

However still going for an APC because of :

1 - Low profile APCs abounds in real world  - IDF conversions of the T-54/55 and Centurion tank hulls
2 - External VVSS allows adequate interior space for troops (albeit severely cramped!)

I'm really looking forward to this one.  I have something similar planned but was going to use a Legend Productions IDF Sherman Ambulance Conversion set as the basis: 




Am planning to add a small turret in the front using the cupola from a M3 Lee tank:

 

Plan is for it to be a WWII APC.
