When cleaning out the family attic in Luton, a fellow found a couple of photos and some paint shop notes from the R.A.E. where his grandfather worked as a Fitter/Artificer during and after the Great War. The Royal Aircraft Factory became the Royal Aircraft establishment in 1918.
Raspberry Ripple was invented way back then, not in the latter half of the 20th century.
This is the old Revell kit from the '60s, built OOB with a seat, floorboard, and new tailskid added.
The markings are spares-box fragments. I brush-painted the Testors Flat Red and Flat Dark Sea Blue. The White is rattle-can Armory White Figure Primer.
I used ACME 1/72 "Invisible Rigging Line".
I am really happy with how this one came out.
