Supposedly the Russian Army also tested the Centauro fitted with a 125mm cannon though I cannot find any photos of this.

I am tempted to do a Centauro with either:

An ADATS turret:

Or a SIDAM 25mm turret:

Saw a recent story that the Italian Army are replacing their Centauro fleet with the improved 120mm model that shares many of the upgrades introduced with the Freccia.  The type was eliminated from the LAND 400 competition but would have made for some very interesting off the self options down the track, had it been successful.

The Italian version you mention is essentially the Centauro II I showed above I believe.

I do plan to do a Australian Army one one of these days.

According to Wikipedia, 253-odd B1 Centauros are "to be sold or used to cannibalize parts". Lots of scope for foreign schemes there  :D
