Been wanting to to do another one of these - properly - since I was a kid.
Fitting her with new radar mast, gun, hangar &flight deck, plus a VLS system!

As you can see, She is now
HMS Andromeda
- in 1980, instead of receiving the Exocet conversion, she was fitted with the 203mm MK71 Naval Gunfire Support Weapon that the Americans had just finished testing, the VLS Seawolf system, a combined aerial / antennae 'sail', and an expanded helicopter deck/hangar for the Wasp spotter helicopters. And of course, with the MK71 fitted, the ship now has the capability to fire Precision Guided Munitions...

excellent
Always been a fan of the type 12 and consider it a shame Australia wasn't more adventurous with the last pair they built.....just need a 1/700 injection mould Type 12 and the parts bin for some real fun.
Thanks for the inspiration

Wow that sure finished up a treat!
I really like the little helicopter. Wonderfully done in such a small scale!

Cheers Brian - had to add quite a few details to the helo to get it to look like a Wasp, but I'm happy with it !

Not too sure how a Type 12 would handle a Mk-71 but I like it!!! Tim Allen would agree; more power is good!
Nice job man!
Could you explain the mast/sail you created please. I'm very intrigued.
