For when you need serious inflight refuelling capabilities!  ;D
What he said!!  A different approach to high-capacity inflight refueling capability.

That’s really cool!
It reminds me of the build I saw that put a B-29 nose on top of a rocket. Very 1950s sci fi.

Alright....    is cool  8)

Have thought generically of XB-70 with "some" alternate nose.  Like how this worked out.  Even if can't do full Mach3 sure it steps out smartly.

The fuselage section between the cockpit and gunners' positions is actually one big  extruded aluminum heat sink  ;)

Beautiful!!  It has a look of a late-Forties/early-Fifties SF illustration.

Mirage IV P & Lancaster, blue : hybrid aircraft/animals e.a.

sometime ago, i was intrigued by a statement that suprisingly the  Matchbox Hunter T7 cockpit fits on the front of the Heller Mirage IVP,
so I found myself a Heller Mirage IVP, which is in 1/48
(hence not fitting the Matchbox 1/72 Hunter, but that will be another story)
and in the same times got a cheap old 1/72 Revell Lancaster

and they surprisingly fit :

Neat!

Wouldn't have guessed the Lanc lent itself so well to a scale-o-rama.  :icon_surprised:

Now that you mentioned it.  Do see the Soviet flavor.  Could add red star decals.

Surprising what random kit matches there are that give us new designs to discover/contemplate.

Fantastic pair of models there. Blue Lancage (un fromage tres bon) one of my favourite kitbashes from the last few years...looks aggressive, mosquitoish, superb.
