Title: Keystone Partridge
Post by: Acree on August 27, 2017, 06:52:08 AM
Just a little something I scraped together for my "World War II Goes Hot in Latin America" alt-history.  The next installment is almost ready to post, but here's the only piece of polystyrene I've assembled recently.  It represents the first aircraft of the Luftkraft des Feuerland (LdF).  It is an example of the extremely rare Keystone K-49 Partridge purchased second-hand as a staff transport for the LdF.   For more info on the LdF, check out the next "WWII Goes Hot In LatAm" update in the Stories section.  For now, here she is:

the extremely rare Keystone K-49 Partridge
It is so rare, Google does not find at all, it seems... Is this a (great) invention of yours? Good!

Yes, in reality, the Partridge did not exist at all.

Thanks, Tophe!

The model consists of the leftover fuselage from an MPM Lockheed Vega (it came with 2!), the wings and tail surfaces from an Eduard Overtrees set for the Avia B.534, engine/cowling/prop from an Airfix Kingfisher, and skis from the Airfix J.8 Gladiator, all in 1/72 scale.  Markings were made up from red, white and black decal film.

That's quite a wonderful display of your vastless kit bashing talents, Acree!

I really like the unique markings and the skis give it a rakish lean.

Great stuff!
