My interpretation of what little is known about the FW 190A-10.

"Late in the war, the A-10 was fitted with larger wings for better maneuverability at higher altitudes, which could have allowed additional 30 mm (1.18 in) calibre, long-barreled MK 103 cannon to be fitted."

This is shown in aluminum with Hermann Graf markings ( "flames" ).

30mm Mk 103s with muzzle brakes on the inner wing stations.  13mm cowl guns now 20mm MG-FF-M.  While this particularly fighter would lack any fast-firing guns, the entire purpose of its existence is to target large bombers and hammer them with HE rounds.

Long-wing fans will adore your model. If PR_19Kit still visits here, he will tell you how much this is right (even if this is on the bad side here) ??? ;)

I like long wings and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a plane flies in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face

Nice model. Well done.

I'm not so sure about the long wings though.  The info I have read states that the Fw190A-10 would have used the BMW 801F engine if it had been produced and would have had the Ta 152 style tail. It would have looked very much like a late war A-9 with the big tail. This is supported by this factory drawing (?):

Here is my interpretation from a few years back:

That all said, as I said earlier, nice model.

Count me among those fans! This baby sure looks like a high-altitude scourge of the skies and I especially like those unusual markings on that clean, unpainted scheme!

Great stuff!

I was unaware of the factory drawings, so thanks for that!   I think the side profile is spot-on since I did use the Ta-152 tail.

Had the 801F made it into production in time, perhaps there would have been a radial version of both the Ta 152C wing (slightly longer) and Ta 152H wing (much longer).  This was essentially mashing an H with an A (2 kits were sacrificed)

Thanks everyone!  Glad to see so many long-wing fans here.

Glad to have another long-winger on board Lrrr.

Here are some of my past long wing builds. Hope to see more of yours.

1/72 Lockheed CL-142 Project High-Red
1/72 Armstrong Whitworth A.W. 49 Archer
1/72 Revell P-47 Big Wing Weather Recon
1/72 Bell F-11A Condor, USAAF, 1945
1/72 Gloster Meteor PR.1 - 1945
1/72 Armstrong Whitworth A.W. 45 Arcturus

Excellent work!  I especially like the A.45 and the spacing of the cannons.
