Japan uses "Deutsche" for reference although I suspect that they have a code word for that in military applications (for example, IJN designated submarines of German origin in their fleet using the code word "Ro", IIRC.)

That 50mm(?) gun sure beats everything Japan could have come up with in a short notice.  At the very least until Chi-Nu- assuming Allied armours remained overwhelmingly Sherman with short 75mm- rolled along......

Got an answer on what was wrong with the BT-42 ammo, apperantly the finnish shells had problems with fuses so that the jet frequently fired as the shell started to bounce

One of the many unique AFVīs participating in the 1947-49 Israeli independence war often cobbled together by parts from scrapyards and surplus sales around the world with surprisingly many parts brought by Jews fleeing the Chinese civil war.

That's a shame although the BT-42 itself has other troubles.

You might be interested in this, if you haven't seen it already.

Okay, I don't think that belt-fed mechanism for their own high-velocity 75mm gun is gonna work out, either.  But did you use Pz.III or Pz.IV turret on your Type 1 Kai?  The reason why I first assumed the main gun to be 50mm is that I thought the Pz.III turret is probably more workable.

I used  a VK3001(H) turret (not to scale) so a 50 is fine with me

I havent seen that thanks, the only tank I heard of being planned with an auto loader was the Skoda T-25

Type97/1 mated to a not to scale T-50 turret and VK3002(DB) mantlet

Oh, I like that a lot!  Being that the pieces are from some rare vehicles, I think some would be surprised to find out that the pieces are from real tanks.

Cheers,

Logan
