I know a lot of people don't like it but I'm doing it as an old and tired truck, in the past I've got a lot of flack for doing this type of stuff, well it's my model and I like doing old.
Just turn the "rust" into gobs of dirt or whatever. I had a work truck at a construction site once and it got spattered with concrete. I hope my attempt at helpfulness hasn't caused you too much trouble.Your technique looks impressive.
Yeah, they look the part.
All looking suitably weathered.
I tried to get the steam from the hot cup of coffee on the windscreen (not particularly sucessfull but I tried)
That's looking great! If you like, I found it's easy to simulate cracked glass by making a curving score cut with a sharp knife blade.

Will Ted be driving the truck?Or will he be involved with the wreck being towed?
Poor Ted's timing belts gone on his spaceship
Looking good! This should be a fascinating diorama.
Tow truck driver: "So how are you going to pay for me pulling you out of the ditch?"Ted: "Gimme a break human! I left my wallet at home!"
