Christmas Trucks
« on: December 18, 2018, 03:29:39 PM »
Two of my wife's friends are crazy about "old red pickup trucks." Apparently its a decorating style trend.  Anyway, every year I try to make a little craft project for each of them.  This year, I decided to use my modeling skills (such as they are) to create a red pickup Christmas decoration. Thought I would share with you. They are both 1/25 scale: one it the AMT 1953 Ford F-100, and the other is AMT 1950 Chevrolet 3100.  Each are built OOB with some minor decoration changes.  Enjoy!

Thanks, Brian (et al).  I forgot to mention that the wooden bases were (until recently) part of an African willow tree in my backyard.

Thanks Elmayarle!  I presented the trucks to the ladies last night and they were blown away.  They could not believe I had made them.  The one husband who was at home at the time was also surprised.  He had seen a WIP photo - his response: "I didn't expect it to be THIS good!"

A great personal example of "it is more blessed to give than to receive!"

Merry Christmas!
