Decided not to have top mounted weapons, I think they would block the commanders 360 sight and make the vehicle to tall. Went with a coaxial MG. Any other suggestions would be considered and greatly appreciated. Need camo color suggestions also.

They add height to modern vehicles, too, but are considered necessary, despite that big negative. However, ...

Where do you want it operating? Jungle = green / stripy greens & browns; Desert = tan / ochre / tan & ochre (or brown or both), possibly with some green blotches; Interstellar Colony = slate-grey / 2-or-more greys / slate-grey, mauve & dark-rust.

I really like the low, sleek look (for a tank) that you're going with Steve and I think that helps keep attention on those menacing guns on the side as well as make the hover part more in focus too.

I keep imagining it in that cool NATO three tone camo of cold war vintage but others may have better suggestions.

I really like the rear end treatment Steve. Very fitting look for a hovertank.

I think a biome where a hovertank would really work - the Arctic. Soon to be a highly contested area, with China pushing hard to become a member of the Arctic nation states, and their tendency to do whatever the hell they want, perhaps a winter cam scheme would be appropriate?

I was thinking of a white camo for the snow covered plains of Germany / Eastern Europe, with maybe some light gray zig-zags to break up the outline.

BdB - I thought about a splinter NATO 3 tone camo, but my display case is all greens, tans and browns, it needs something different.

Had even thought of the same blue as the Siberian logging tractor with a white stripe, but that's pretty bright

You could go with something completely no terrestrial. I once did a hover tank that, in addition to the expected light and medium greens, used a rust red/orange and a violet/purple as disruptives.

I sprayed the greens in the usual broad amoeba swaths but used my hole punch to make several masks in plastic stock with inter linked series of large and small holes and then sprayed the red and violet using those masks. In proportion the two colours were added much like the black and tan in the old MERDC scheme, thought the use of the masks made the effect much different.

The two colours were not garishly different in tone than the greens, so it really worked well as a scheme. Different, but it didn't scream at you. Very effective as a Hammer's Slammers off-world vehicle.

Wow! Now that it is finished it has taken on a very unique and purposeful look. The addition of dust covers to your recoil springs is a nice detail that really adds to this build.

Steve, that turned out just wonderful! Using the E100 side skirts to create the hull of a hover tank has been on my “Round Tuit” list for years but I’m glad to see you did it with such amazing results.

that's awesome! Probably one of the best hover tank designs I've seen in a long time. The weathering is spot on - not too heavy
