F-82"I" Twin Mustang
« on: September 13, 2013, 11:02:58 AM »
In the early 50's, the Israeli Air Force was able to obtain some F-82 Twin Mustangs. Although soon out moded as interceptors, they proved to be capable ground attack fighters. A number of them were converted into specialized attack aircraft.  Modified locally, they had tiptanks and additional hard points, as well as having all radar and related hardware removed.

The kit is that old Monogram (now Revell) F-82. The tiptanks are some 1/48 bombs from the spares box. A second F-82 kit furnished additional rockets and bombs.  Napalm tanks are some old fuel tanks.

That is gorgeous, Ed.  It looks very realistic and plausible, as well.  I love the variety of colors and the realistic weathering.  Great subject and execution.

Cheers,

Logan

Got a couple in the stash too, apart from the one I've got built.  But I'd be up for a GB

How about a GB for any twin fuselage A/C? I have a few F-82s as well as a Me 609.
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.
