Skywrath Corporation - Spirit Mk III
« on: December 02, 2017, 07:36:23 PM »
Hi guys

No backup story for this one. I just liked how the name sounds :)

Just took some parts from a now defunct MaK Falke (hence some of the parts arae already painted),
partial wings from a Star Wars Shadows of the Empire Xizor's Virago,
and some additional random bits and pieces of unknown provenience.

And that is the result:

The Spirit is pretty much ready for painting,  but the base is still under construction.

Thanks for  watching!

The gun is from a Hasegawa 1/20 Pkf.85 Falke Antigravity Armored Raider (I have 2, one almost finished, one not started).

The wings angle is surprising, are they flapping wings?

Actually, just realised that the fuselage is also from a Hasegawa 1/20 Pkf.85 Falke, it's one of the forward nacelles (taken from a P-38 Lightning, itself) & reversed!

Hi Guys

Thanks for the comments.

No flapping wings, unfortunately! But thatīs something to revisit in a future project!

Indeed it is some bits and pieces of my late Hasegawa Falke (may its polystyrene soul rest in an everlasting peace...;))
Fortunately I was able to salvage some parts...

But letīs talk about the base, instead!

This time I wanted to try something different, so please find below some self explanatory photos.

There are still some small details to be added (a ladder in the maintenance pit, etc.), but you got the idea, right? ;)

Phenomenal idea and craftsmanship.  Skywrath IS a terrific name, too, btw.  In your imagination, how does this craft achieve vertical lift and descent?  I did not see a ventral view.  Do you envision rotating nozzles (mechanical thrust diversion) or some sort of anti-grav?  Very, very interesting!
