Not so sure about the links above...never-the-less, here is a link to the real website: http://www.tiger-model.com/index.asp?hl=en (http://www.tiger-model.com/index.asp?hl=en)

Two new kits:

I would like to take credit for the second one having recently placed an order for a 1/35 resin AMX 10 RC from Azimut... :-X  Another case of taking one for the team...

That AMX-10RCR has a good probability of being added to my stash.  Though it may end up as part of a turret swap with something else before all is said and done.

Yep:

I am tempted to get the AMX-30Bs Brennus kit and re arm it with the GIAT 120mm gun from the Leclerc MBT thus creating a upgraded export version/lower cost alternative perhaps.

Even uglier?   The standard AMX-10 looks fine, all that extra armour seems rather pointless IMHO.   It is a heavy armour car, not wheeled MBT...

When I was in the RAAC my unit was flagged as the trial unit for Project Mulgara, a light, mine protected, reconnaissance vehicle.  All sorts of vehicles were considered, from modified Holden Rodeos (Isuzu utility), modified Humvee, to light strike vehicles with composite armour, but what we actually wanted and hoped for was something like the VBL, or Mowag Eagle.

This kit has be reminiscing and imagining Aussie VBLs in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I want two! One in US colours trialled in the Persian Gulf and one in Swedish Splinters. Actually.... a third one would be nice, as a what-if operational Brazilian version using the twin-barrelled AMOS mortar.

:uuu:  Yeah nah, not happening. But a guy can dream, right?

Also really happy about that ERC-90 they're set to release. Awesome subject, I think.

Title: Re: Tiger Models
Post by: ChernayaAkula on July 12, 2017, 03:34:14 AM
^ Yeah. Word was that Hobby Boss would do the AMOS as part of their CV90 series, along with the AA variant of the CV9040 and the projected light tank with a low-pressure 120mm gun. Whether they will eventually be released, I don't know. Their release schedule seems rather erratic.

I hope either IBG will release the Finnish AMOS version of their Rosomak (Polish version of Patria AMV) kit or someone will do the turret as a conversion set.

Has anyone seen this yet? Specifically the third picture down? I am looking forward to the AMX-10RC with the Nexter T40 turret. Really just interested in the turret for an idea I have. Mounted on a C2 MEXAS Leopard in Canadian service as a heavy recon/route security vehicle.

That is where the seed of this idea came from! That and one of the ideas that Nexter floated as a use for the T40 turret was mounting it on, I believe, older LeClerc chassis for much the same usage.

I saw the image earlier. It's linking back to kitmakers, which Firefox claims is insecure. it's possible that their SSL certs expired and they haven't renewed it yet. In fact, if I use http instead of https for the link, I get:
