P-1-X fighter
« on: May 31, 2016, 07:11:26 AM »
Hello !
How many of us have thought to realize a model using lighters, computer parts, various plastic parts, pens, etc.?
My monkey box (spare parts and scrap box) has a lot of material that can donate for a model.
A pen and parts of two others, two hardpoints snap from an F-18, a half a tank of P-51, two machine guns La-5-48,two plastic caps for exhaust and other small parts.
Well, here is the result : P-1-X (in romaian pix means pen )

Well I'm suitably inspired.  Time to raid the desk drawers!!!

Magnificent!  Amazing what you can create when you put your mind into it as your project demonstrates.  :)

Nicely done - I love found-object modelling. Got boxes full of stuff that I must get stuck into at some point.

I never would have thought that small items like pens have so much potential.

I am now going through my garage pulling out all the pens I threw out.  :o

Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

There are a lot of pen caps that make good engine pods for helicopters and the like.

Welcome Axor! Nice work using found objects. You must have the same drawer full of stuff as I do. I swear I've see several of these parts before.

Hehehe please do  ;D actually a more accurate translation would be : the box with monkeys.
Anyway, for a modeller this box is a treasure, and often, someone else's boxes are more interesting than your box

Nice work.
already have a monkey box that gets raided from time time.
Also have a lot of stuff that was going to be this, or that, or.... which in reality is just junk most probably.

One I cannot bear to throw away is an old protective case for a old computer mainframe tape... remember when computers used to boot up off tapes ?

Perhaps one day

That's my kind of modelling. Great job with those pens and associated nurnies :)

The problem with the  "Monkey Boxes" is that it has the risk of growing way too big. At least that's what happens with me ;)

Exactly  ;D also my case...but I'm not complaining, there are moments that you can not find exactly what you need in that boxes
