Title: Tankfreak's Armored Fighting Vehicle Blog
Post by: Jeffry Fontaine on December 24, 2011, 01:03:17 PM
Hakan Güney (known as 'Tankfreak' at Missing-Lynx Forums) is his name and Armoured Fighting Vehicle Blog (http://battletankpower.blogspot.com/) is where you will find him and a number of interesting fictional and speculative modeling projects under construction and finished.

This image shows one of his more recent completed projects that was based on a die-cast metal model to which he applied a few modifications:

Some of this work is a bit over the top on letting the imagination run wild but the little Jeep appears to be quite conservative and more to my liking.  If you took a look at his other work you can really appreciate what he is capable of creating.  I am still trying to figure out what he is up to in his latest installment with that little German half-track project.

It appears that Herr Stug has finished a couple of his projects and has posted a number of images showing off his latest work.

The T-80 Extended (http://battletankpower.blogspot.com/2012/01/blog-post.html)

Not sure where the tires and wheels originated but there is a T-80 tank and a BMP apc somewhere in that mass of kit bashed parts.

Herr Zaman? I do believe the correct Turkish would be either Gönderen bey or Bay Zaman.  ;)

Herr Stug has finished another what-if project.  This time it is based on the MTLB and it is converted from tracks to wheels.  It looks like an armed and armored pickup truck ------> ......MT-LB/2.......  (http://battletankpower.blogspot.com/2012/03/mt-lb2_27.html)

Check Gönderen's main page of his blog (http://[url=http://battletankpower.blogspot.com/) to see the other what-if projects that are still under construction or have been recently completed.

Hello, newcomer here. What I am about to say is not anything worth actually mentioning . Maybe only to post and that's all. The blogger is named Stug, gönderen means the sender/poster and zaman is time.

Some great work there. The BA-64-125 is very believable: http://battletankpower.blogspot.com/2012/05/ba-64-125.html (http://battletankpower.blogspot.com/2012/05/ba-64-125.html)

Thank you for pointing out the mistakes.  It was easy enough to misinterpret what was presented on Stug's page since most of the descriptions were in English language I was led to believe that the wording was telling me that this was his name.  I am changing the original post to and the title of each comment to correct this mistake.

Mistakes? It was more like I could post something. Turkish can confuse the Turks themselves. Keep up the good work, I really like finding such wealth of inspiration in concentration.

This one looks like some kind of post-apocalyptic dune buggy, to me. Awesome stuff! 8)

... Turkish can confuse the Turks themselves...

Especially when, like me, you were assuming "Gönderen" was German!  :-[

That MT-LB/2 would also look the part as a half-track.

Link to Armored Fighting Vehicle Blog page for the above model (http://battletankpower.blogspot.com/2013/01/m923a1sa330raf-doomsday-drifters.html)

Looks like a serious kit-bashing session with an M923 series 5t truck and a Puma helicopter fuselage.  Interesting combination of model subjects.
