Wings of Honneamise Carrier
« on: December 17, 2014, 10:54:17 PM »
For this GB I will be making a carrier inspired by the one seen briefly at the start of The Wings of Honneamise anime movie.

I will be using a 1/2000 Yorktown class as the base. I may even have a go at building the jet too, if I have time.

Here's the base kit, the 1/2000 Enterprise:

Since the build is inspired from the film, I will be making some changes to the original film design. I plan to retain the island and make the upper flight deck angled.

Time for an update. I abandoned the angled top deck as it just didn't look right to me. The painting was done with gundam markers since I'm overseas, the deck markings where done by hand and they're a little off but it was hard enough to paint the deck so I don't wanna strip it off and repaint it.

This is the only shot of the deck marking, so I had to improvise on the top deck.

The only major thing left to do is the elevator cages and then it should be done.

There's still a few paint splotches from when I touched it while drying and the elevator cages sit a bit low to the waterline, but I'm calling this one done.
