That one definitely looks like it's a "should be" rather than a "what if"!!  that's an entirely gorgeous aircraft.

Agreed

I like this one! It looks cute as a button, not a phrase often used in regards to a B-58.

Your imagination is off the charts!

talking about aircraft having comparable sizes ...

here comes, in the very same 1/72 scale, a Tomcat mixed with a B-17G fuselage I had left from an earlier project :

here too the wings are movable (but not together, individually)

Looks cool.  I would've tried for more and faired over those wing stubs but, here, they add character.

I have thought about that question of wing stubs indeed : then the intakes fit nicely with them, so I thought it was not bad like that, as a flat surface jleading to the air intake.

the other half of the Tomcat, with rubber bat wings (I have now a few others in my stash), and the original kit's Airfix stand

with the red thread from the rubber bat, it can be attached to the ceiling

Indeed!  any of those could loose a most deadly (or at least smelly) unguided missile.  OTOH, might be a great way to spread fertilizer over a field if you could keep them within the boundaries.
