I'll just let this sit here for the night

after 2 coats still couldn't get it consistent using Mr Hobby

But after 3rd coat even the dogs in the street know it's better 😊

Such a cool little 4x4. I always thought it had a kind of post-apocalypse look to it right out of the box.

I had that thought myself. Was tempted to get another Live resin RWS like on my Fennek. I think it would suit this little "car" nicely too

Finally got around to the decals. A clear coat tomorrow and then I can start the detailing and weathering

Well I seem to have made a mess of that. Obviously touched it when setting aside to dry. Will need to sand off, reprint and I'm sure I have spare UN decals somewhere

The thing is I don't think you can beat that Fennek, it's just too awesome!

Looking at that photo all I can say is be careful which neighbourhoods you park in... ;D

Found my spare UN decals and they didn't match the kit ones so I had to clean off the good decal on the other side and repaint that side also. Finally have the decals done

Now for a quick sorry of Satin clear and then I can start weathering

I like the stenciled UN decal. Great build so far; it inspired me to get a copy of this kit.

Agreed. The more obviously stencilled UN markings are actually an improvement, IMHO.  :)

Thanks Gents, I appreciate the comments. Just been told on Armorama though that they are wrong and shouldn't have the gaps. But after all the trouble that are staying as they are.

On to the last few bits of equipment

 (http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc69/35th-scale/Models/Trumpeter%20Puma%20AFV/B1413A0D-FCF7-4C83-A1EA-810778079795_zpsvwbg5zxi.jpg) (http://s213.photobucket.com/user/35th-scale/media/Models/Trumpeter%20Puma%20AFV/B1413A0D-FCF7-4C83-A1EA-810778079795_zpsvwbg5zxi.jpg.html)

Looking at reference photos I have lots of choice in how to finish her. White wing mirrors, black wing mirrors or black & white. White frame on drivers glass shield, or black. Black or white covers on the smoke grenade launchers. And pristine finish, weathered finish or totally beat up finish.... 😃

I'll go for something like the middle one but if I overdo it, as I tend to, I won't mind.

Concur on the UN markings. I think you've vastly improved the look, accuracy be damned.

Speaking of damned, that's some damned fine work too! Thanks for the update!

Thanks Brian

Trying to fit the tyres in has broken off 3 of the wheel hubs, including the main supports.

(http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc69/35th-scale/Models/Trumpeter%20Puma%20AFV/3435AF49-BAAE-4ECB-A2AA-0D95B1781514_zpszjfbw7az.jpg) (http://s213.photobucket.com/user/35th-scale/media/Models/Trumpeter%20Puma%20AFV/3435AF49-BAAE-4ECB-A2AA-0D95B1781514_zpszjfbw7az.jpg.html)

They are repairable and thankfully I've not fitted the delicate wing mirrors or drivers shield yet

Anyway, put the tyres on and then managed to get the wheels refitted. Mirrors and drivers shield to go and then just a tad more light weathering
