Welcome to Beyond the Sprues and that's a mighty fine introduction, roast!

By the way, we've got a Spanish Civil War GB coming up in December and I think if you wanted to join in the fun, your art would be appreciated.

I have a couple of aircraft dating from that era (and regardless of faction) in my folders, so I wouldn't mind joining in. In the meanwhile, here's an assortment of depictions that I don't mind sharing.

Those are great, roast! I especially like the P-36/Hawk-75 and Italy may be one of the few European nations not to fly the type.

Great stuff and always a treat to see your work!

Fantastic.

Really love the Japanese Mistel.  Always had plans to build something similar using a Ki-43 and a Ki-21, but like most projects I never got round to it!

Cheers

Thanks for the compliments! Now here's some aircraft from each of the Worlds during the Cold War.

The Romanian one is wonderfully colorful!

That scheme compliments it nicely.

It is indeed! I like the Turkish Mk.Vc too. Of course, the RW Turks had Mk.Vbs ... but uglified with Rootes dust filters. I like yours much better

Nice idea of the RAAF P-63.  Often an overlooked aircraft too, despite some 3303 being built.  Unfortunately for it, it like others were just totally outclassed by the superlative P-51.

P-63A
Maximum speed: 410 mph (660 km/h) at 25,000 ft (7,620 m)
Range: 450 mi[53] (725 km)
Service ceiling: 43,000 ft (13,100 m)
Rate of climb: 2,500 ft/min (12.7 m/s)
Wing loading: 35.48 lb/sq ft (173.91 kg/m²)
Armament:
1× 37 mm M4/M10 cannon firing through the propeller hub.
4× 0.50 in (12.7mm) M2 Browning machine guns (two synchronized in the nose, two in the wings)
Bombs: 1,500 lb (680 kg) bomb load on wing and fuselage
P-51D
Maximum speed: 440 mph (708 km/h, 383 kn)
Range: 1,650 mi (2,656 km, 1,434 nmi) with external tanks
Service ceiling: 41,900 ft (12,800 m)
Rate of climb: 3,200 ft/min (16.3 m/s)
Wing loading: 39 lb/sq ft (192 kg/m2)
Armament:
Guns: 6 × 0.50 caliber (12.7mm) AN/M2 Browning machine guns with 1,840 total rounds
Bombs: 1,000 pounds (450 kg) total on two wing hardpoints
Each hardpoint: 1 × 100 pounds (45 kg) bomb, 1 × 250 pounds (110 kg) bomb or 1 × 500 pounds (230 kg) bomb)

Another interesting whiff might be a Nth Korean one.  After all, the USSR was the biggest user with some 1000+ still in service after the war.  It even got a NATO reporting name of "Fred". One could easily see some being passed to the nth Koreans.

Love your M551 development - the Koyunlu (or should that be Qiyyunlu?).

A hap of school does little to stop me. (also idk about the naming configuration on the Koyunlu because that occurs with basically all Arabic languages iirc)

And for some ships.

Yubari as a kaiten carrier, circa 1945 (had she survived her sinking in April 1944)

A postwar (1955+) rendition of the Akizuki-class destroyer Fuyuzuki with cool Western armament and radar in place of the domestic ones

..and her sister ship, the Natsuzuki outfitted with the RIM-2 Terrier anti-aircraft missile. (note the Crown Prince's standard to celebrate his engagement with Michiko Shoda)

A little internee mosca.

Nice  And very believable. Especially since many of the later RW Moscas were delivered by rail via France (having been shipped from the Soviet Union to Le Havre and Bordeaux).
