Here's my Super Scooter... Sorry for the fuzzy cell pic - can't find the bit to download from my real camera.  ???  She should be finished in a few more days.

Cheers & happy modeling, Bryan

Yes, trying to think of a good back story.  Maybe, Canada bought & manufactured A-4's for it's light fighter instead of the F-5.  Also, Canadian Navy bought A-4's for it's Banshee replacement and kept the Bonaventure until the mid 70's then replaced her with a CVV and did a Singapore/Brazil/New Zealand-type upgrade program on her A-4 fleet.

I've made good progress, painting is essentially finished but I think I'm going to need an extension as well - slight decal malfunction...  :(

Though I have not yet starting cutting plastic, I'd like to graft on a Harrier GR.3 nose to an A-4 so we can have a Skyhawk GR.1
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Here's the progress so far (and the problem...)  Some of the decals were custom but didn't react too well when I tried to use them - ugh!

Did the water get into the decal and make the ink run?  :o
 Really sucks to be close to finishing and have such a problem.  :icon_crap:

I'll make it work & possibly even look good - it's all part of the adventure of what-if!  But it is kinda irritating...

You could go with the extreme weathering/long time at sea look.  OpTempo was so high that they were kept corrosion free and operational, but not "inspection ready?"

Either way, this is coming along very nicely and I look forward to your next update.

I've just seen a Canadian A-4 as agressor on the other site: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,40650.0.html

Mine will be a regular RCN line aircraft.  I think the story will include trials of a new eco-friendly paint formula - looks like the RCN is going back to the old eco-unfriendly formula for the time being...  ;)
