The Underground cartoonist Vaughn Bode' did some interesting and comical designs for AI fighting machines in his Junkwaffel comics. This fellow
has scanned a few stories in here: http://dochermes.livejournal.com/tag/vaughn%20bode (http://dochermes.livejournal.com/tag/vaughn%20bode)
("Up in the Steeple"  starts a couple of posts down the page.  These comics inspired  small board game just a few years later -

This was going to be an autonomous /AI electric power recce 6x6. Not sure what scale it will end up as though!

I recall a Popular Mechanics Magazine article many years back on the future USN, including (besides new CGs, carriers etc) unmanned trimaran ASW escort.  Pretty obviously this could be a modified Independence class in a WIFF world.

Human driven vehicles may be the biggest threat to robot vehicles:

The shuttle stopped as designed, the truck-driver didn't and backed into it.  ;D :-\ :icon_fsm:

That's what they've done with the MQ-8C, basically a Bell 407:

But a very much modified 407 with lots greater range and the clear canopy replaced by sheet metal.  There are lots of changes, both large and small, that convert this aircraft from a 407.  I should know, I was involved in Bell's design effort on it.

I'm aware of that Evan.  ;)

I was simply talking in terms of turning a model kit of manned aircraft into a UAV
for the purposes of the GB.

Cheers, Jon

That would probably work, though you'd also need to place the various antennae (antennas?) that a UAV requires (that turned out to be all sorts of fun with unique requirements).

Why are they in a court room & why is the young lady hiding her face from them? ???

Possible reasons:

1.  Talking on her mobile phone?

2.  Inherent fear of flying machines of all sizes and shapes?

3.  Lack of faith in the EOD technicians to fully disarm the explosive stores on display?

4.  Hiding her face from significant other or ex-significant other?

5.  Walk of shame from the janitorial closet where unspeakable activities were experienced in a moment of passion and foolishness?

6.  All of the above?
