The White Scout car is a favorite of mine. This will be good. Are you going to slap wings and rockets on the torpedoes to make them "aerial" torpedoes?

PT conversion kit looks like perfect source for air defense parts.  Switching PT boat intended parts to land use is resourceful.

OK, my mojo's slipped a bit & this build is dragging its @r$e but I've got it sectioned into modules & most of them are built.

Here they are sitting it the box waiting for a small mojo boost & paint.

If all else fails, trial-fit the Bofors onto the back of the Scout Car. If that doesn't get your mojo juices flowing, consult a physician immediately  :o

Nah, it's general life issues getting in the way of being able to sit down & focus, maybe in the next couple of days ... with luck. ;)

Hi, guys! :D

Just to let you know this is still happening I've provided pic's of where I'm at now. :))

The Oerlikon is only sitting there, for now. It's slow going, in dribs & drabs but I'm getting there. :)

However, if there isn't an extension (Hello, mod's! ;) ) there's no way it's going to be finished before the end of the GB. :(

Without adding to your woes, what about having fold down sides like a German Mobelwagen? Raise up the Oerlikon base a bit, fold down the sides and back as an additional platform and then jacks to stabilise the whole thing. Those 20mms need a bit more swing room than the back of a Scout car can really provide.

Passenger seat well could hold ammo drums instead.

Just injecting a little mojo...

You're absolutely correct but this is a field mod using a salvaged weapon on an available platform.

It's extremely imperfect & awkward, which is part of its charm.

Also, this is Phase 2 of what was a 3 phase adaptation (Phase 3 involves losing the skate-rail & the front windscreen).

I was thinking sort of the same thing about the room in the bed. Too late to extend the bed to the rear, I know you want to get on with this one. Just my $0.02 worth.

Very innovative use for that 20mm Oerlikon on the standard naval mount which I might add is quite heavy.  A darned shame the Italeri PT Boat update set did not offer the light weight tripod mount that replaced the heavier mount you have on smaller combatants.  Maybe the Mk II version will incorporate that upgrade?  :)

Looking great and I love the idea of the awkward, none too perfect field mod.  Just the sort of thing some innovative and bored mechs are going to get up to.    8) :)

Works for me. I like the field mod idea. Certainly not the craziest thing that may have been jacked together in the field

I like it! It reminds me of a WWII version of an M151 with a recoilless rifle.

At first glance, you'd think you were done with this, it has that "field expedient" and well-used look to it.  I like it!

I'll have a word with the mod about an extension - 1 week or 2?

That is mighty nifty. Field expedient or no, it looks plenty intimidating to me.
