Hmmm…I do have a T-50 kit and some spare F-14 and F-111 wings…and a desire to do a naval Pak-Fa….

F-35 hating, SU35 loving fanbois get so upset when I mention the T50, it sort of totally destroys their argument that the various Su27 developments are so awesome no one will ever need anything better in that Sukhoi themselves are already developing something newer and better.

Nah it was a RAAF post of Facebook, a fanboi started ranting about how much better the SU35 was than the F-35 so I listed all the things the F-35 can do that an SU35 can't and asked him if the SU-35 could do any of them and why, if the Flanker was an Uber Fighter Supreme, the T-50 was being developed.  This upset some of the other arm chair experts who started ranting about LM marketing and listing a series of sights they thought I should read before "attacking the facts".  I read the sights and responded that they should probably reread the same references themselves as they didn't actually contradict anything I had written, not a peep from them since, apparently calm rational responses are beyond their ability to debate.

Lots of deflecting surfaces there.  I wonder how they are coordinated?

I'm wondering what that "veining" on the starboard vertical stab is ???

Not sure, though you can also see it here on the inside face:

It only appears on some photos so maybe it is just some externally mounted test sensors?

Or it could be a weak point in the design that's prone to stress fatigue, so it's reinforced.

I saw a reference recently that this aircraft has an official designation of Su-57.  That should confuse the daylights out of the intelligence types trying to figure out what came in between the Su-37 and this number.

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

I was reading about that on MSN too.  The article there said it was the first crash of the type, pretty sure I read over on SPF that one (maybe two) had crashed previously. I'll have to check --  And also it said, only 10 pre-production aircraft have been built so far -----  ???
