This model was made a few years ago inspired by this pic

I built a bog standard 1/32 Hasegawa F16 with the addition of some resin bits

Awesome build and finish Uncle Les.  Regarding the "city" in the poster, is it an actual location or is it from someone's imagination?
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Nice one, Les! Yet more proof that few things spice up a model like 'Roos!

I believe it's from the artist's imagination.  I've got a collection of his work (he was a local man in Fort Worth) and I'll take a look and see if the book says anything.

Absolutely beautiful piece of work, Uncle Les.

it's an interpretation of a '70s Canberra with the Flynn Drive roundybits and Anzac Parade clearly defined.

Beautiful work Uncles Les, makes it a shame Australia didn't buy the Viper, maybe if they had had someone of your talent produce a model of their proposal back then they could have got up ;)

That's really impressive, Les! Pity I was up on CI when it visited sunny (Huh! ::) ) Adelaide, would have loved to have seen it IRL. :) :)

In the "original"picture - the structures above the canopy and leading to the right are the Department of Defence buildings- Russell Offices - in Canberra!

The tall spire is in Blamey Square!!

Directly below the intake is the National Library.
