A-4 Skyhawk for the Luftwaffe
« on: June 17, 2019, 09:08:28 AM »
What If the Luftwaffe had decided to buy the A-4 Skyhawk as their light attack aircraft instead of the Fiat G-91. This was my entrant in the 1-week GB over on What If Modellers.

Might have been a better choice than the F-104G IRL.  Nice load out.  AS.30 and 68mm Matra FFAR?

No. It's the old 1/72 Hasegawa release from the 70's.

Beautiful!!   Are those large pods defensive systems?  They appear more like defensive pods than missiles.

The missile/pod shapes on the outboard stores pylons are supposed to represent the Nord AS-30 Guided Missile that feature a command guidance system with the pilot in the loop.  Eventually superseded by the Laser Guided AS-30L.

Having trouble viewing your pics now. They are heavily blurred with a big Photobucket banner across them  :(
