*whistles* Gorgeous!!  A pain to paint, but gorgeous!

;D 2013 will be the year that one of these complexly camouflaged phantoms gets done! It'll be an F-4D though as there is currently no FGR.2 Phantom available.  8)

Cheers

Cheers Jeff! Yeah 2013 is going to be a good year for Gekko! I've got two 32nd scale F-4 Phantom builds planned, one an F-4D, the other a Canadian Navy F-4J, both from the Tamiya kits, and new decals too!

Cheers

Gorgeous bird.  Would a F-14J in similar markings be its successor?  Would similar camo and markings apply to radar-equipped Harriers operating off JN assault ships alongside MV-22Js?

Sure! All good feasable ideas.

Got to love wrap-around cammo! Colours remind me a bit of Aussie AFV's.

This will be the first! 2013 build with new decals, or in this case vinyl masks. The masks will be in 32nd and 48th scales. If you think you'll be interested please let me know.

Am I understanding this correctly?   You're manufacturing something for a What If?   :D :)

Yes. If the vinyl masks work to my satisfaction then I will be releasing them for this scheme and other select schemes in 48th and 32nd scales. It's not the first time I've produced stuff for "What if?". I've done decal sheets for the Ta-183 and Rafale. But these sheets are no longer available.

Yes I would buy them

Seconded!!  And I very much want those, including a painting guide, for the JN Phantom on the previous page.  Not just for that one, but as a guide for doing the other aircraft I suggested.

By "markings only" do you mean 'decals' only?

So is that a 'no' to masks, but a 'yes' to decals?

That would be my view of things, especially if there's a full set of views of the camo scheme.
