Hi all,
Nice and easy: what if the Royal New Zealand Air Force replaced its DH Vampires with Folland Gnats rather than BAC Strikemasters?
This is the lovely new-tool Airfix kit (courtesy Ian the Kiwi Hunter Gatherer
) with reissue Airfix Strikemaster decals.

Gorgeous!
And I'm reminded of an advertising slogan used by CP Air back in the 80s to promote their Vancouver-Auckland (?) service: "See a sight no kiwi bird has ever seen - New Zealand from the air!"

It's great to see you posting again, Your Mango Highness! We certainly don't see enough of those cool kiwi markings.
Outstanding paint work too. It's nice to know you haven't lost your touch.

Thanks for the kinds words, guys! I'm pleased with how it turned out. The original decals from this have gone to a Heller Fouga Magister.....

It would be interesting to see dissimilar air combat training between the Kiwi Gnats and Scooters. Nice model! Adios, Larry.
